Dinosaur Museum Trip

Today we decided to go and visit the dinosaur musem at Thanksgiving Point. It was pretty cool. They had a lot of hands-on things for kids, and even some fun stuff for toddlers. Ali, Emma, and I had fun. Afterwards we went to IKEA, where Ali was in heaven. She loves that place.

Below are some pictures from today's events:

Emma is getting
too big too fast!

This is Emma in her
new chair. She likes it
because she can move it anywhere

Emma's Kitty

I didn't want to make this part of the vacation post, but i still wanted to post it today. Emma got a new kitty, and his name is "Mow". That's what Emma calls it anyways, so Mow he shall be. Ali has been trying to teach her how t0 hold the cat so as not to strangle it. It is funny. Mow is very good with letting Emma "practice" on him, even if he is unable to breathe temporarily.

Belated Vacation Pictures...

Well, late May, we took a vacation to San Diego, California. It was just what we needed. We went to the zoo, sea world, the beach, and just relaxed. The drive down was quick, and the drive back up was fun, because we spent the night in Vegas with our sister and Emma's cousins. Here are some pictures from said vacation:

We basically had to drag Emma by her hands and legs to maker her leave the beach. She loved the waves splashing on her.

this picture is actually not from our vacation, but was from a week or so a go. Ali got Emma a big inflatable pool.

Here is a video of Emma being her cray self in a 50's style Diner we ate at:

The First Attempt

This is the first attempt to blog, like the rest of the world. I did try once before this, but it never took so I figured I wold try again. I doubt anyone will take the time to look at this and see what is going on, but I don't really care. I get bored at night while Neil is working, so to make the time go by I will blog.
I guess I will start by updating everyone on our family. Neil is done with school for the summer. It's funny because I thought that I would see him more since he isn't going to school...boy was I wrong. He's working lots and lots of overtime so we can get more money saved up and finally buy a house. So he usually works until the wee hours of the morning. I try to sttay pu and wait for him but it hardly works. It's nice to see the extra money coming in though. But there are times when I wish he didn't have to work, an example would be Saturdays. They are way far behind so Saturdays are mandatory for a while while they get caught up. It wouldn't bug me so bad if Neil worked 7-3, but he works 3-12. Not fun at all. Other than that not a whole lot going on with him. He does love his job though, and I am so thankful for that because it is such a great job. It lets me stay at home and take care of Emma. What more could I ask for? Oh yeah...I could ask for health and dental insurance to be paid for...but guess what? they are! It's so great!
I'm doing great as well. I'm also done with school for the summer. I went and talked to a lady and UVSC about going into social work and what classes I need to take. Well, UVSC doesn't have a social work program but they have a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science with a emphasis in social work. I don't really want to do that, but I will start off in that and figure out what I want to do down the road. Only about 2 more years left of school!!! I'm excited but I love school so much, I think I will miss it when all is said and done. Other than that I'm just bust taking care of Emma. I acutally haven't had to really watch my grandma yet this summer becuase she's been at my aunts in Colorado, but that all changes tomorrow. I need to be in Heber at 6:30 so I can watch her...oh the joys.
Emma is fantastic! She is almost 16 months old! I can't believe how fast she has grown up...I think she needs to stop doing it! But she won't. I do love watching her grow and develop though. she's so funny. I love watching her dance...I don't think there is a muscle in her body that doesn't move while dancing. She's has really good rythm too. She can find the rythm to a song by herself and keep it for quite a while. I think she will be good with music like her daddy. I hope she takes after him in stuff like that. I hope she can draw like him too, because we all know that I can't draw worth poop. She loves our new cat. Whenever she wakes up she looks at me and says, Meow?" like she's saying, "I don't want you I want the cat woman!" so we go find the cat and they play around. She's so funny. Whenever she does something bad she thinks that all she has to do is smile as big as she can and everything will be alright. she also loves gagging herself, don't ask me but she learned how to all by herself. I've been trying to tell her that it's bad but she gags and then laughs like it's funny. Eveyone says that she will learn her lesson when she actually throws up...they're not the ones who have to clean it up.
This is a really long post so I think I will stop her. Just and update on life. Hopefully I can keep this up.
